Rui Pedro Rodrigues
 
Escultor Cénico e Aderecista, frequentou o curso de pintura na Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto e desde 1999 que se dedica às artes plásticas aplicadas ao teatro e ao cinema. Entre 2001 e 2013 foi coordenador técnico do Teatro de Marionetas do Porto. Dirigiu a construção de marionetas, adereços, máquinas de cena e efeitos especiais bem como a montagem e operação técnica dos espetáculos em carreira e em digressões nacionais e internacionais. Durante este período trabalhou também no desenho de luz de vários espetáculos em colaboração com o encenador João Paulo Seara Cardoso e fora da companhia fazendo cenografia, adereços, marionetas, máscaras e ilustração. Atualmente codirige a companhia Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas e colabora com outros projetos de teatro, cinema e artes plásticas.

National Theatre (Londres) – Escultor e aderecista em “Silver Tassie”, “The James Plays”, “Medea” e “Treasure Island” 2014, “Angels in America” e “Pinocchio” 2017.
Royal Opera House – Construtor de Marionetas e Manipulador em “El Gato con Botas” 2013,
O Som e a Fúria – Escultura de adereço (Baleia em tamanho real) para o filme “As 1001 Noites” de Miguel Gomes 2013, Escultura e confeção de máscara para a curta “Carnaval Sujo” de José Miguel Moreira – 2019,
Lightbox Filmes – Construção de réplica de parede em ruínas com gravura para os filmes “Sefarad” 2019 e “1618” 2020.
 
 
 
Rui Pedro Rodrigues

Scenic sculptor and props artist, he attended the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and since 1999 he has been dedicated to the fine arts applied to theater and cinema. Between 2001 and 2013 he was technical coordinator of Teatro de Marionetas do Porto. He directed the construction of puppets, props, stage machines and special effects, as well as the set up and technical operation of the shows on national and international tours. During this period he also worked on the lighting design of several shows in collaboration with the director João Paulo Seara Cardoso and outside the company doing scenography, props, puppets, masks and illustration. He currently co-directs the company Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas and collaborates with other theater, film and visual arts projects.
